There is of course an arguement for realism in this particularly many years back .
Freight stations can also unload passengers but this isn't a lot of use.
What would be a useful mod would be to the abilioty to dedicate some of the platforms in a station as goods only, with the ability to collect as well as deliver goods. Example ; 8 track station, platforms 1-6 for passengers, platforms 7&8 for goods. This would make it much easier to get goods into the centre of a large city, using existing tracks, rather than having to cut a way through for goods lines, then demolish vast swathes to build a goods station.
An alternative would be the ability to build a goods station adjoining the passenger one and merge the two as one station a la OTTD.
Regretably, my progamming skills are non existant.
