I played the base game when it first came out... I remember liking it, but having difficulty with it as well. I'm on a limited data internet plan, so I don't know if it will be worth it to download again. I don't really like real-time strategy games, I have problems with reacting to events... Has anyone thought about making a mod for ... this mod ... that allows you to pause between actions? Either in the Frozen Synapse style, or more traditional, like XCOM?
