Larger active area mod?

Does anyone know of a mod that only increases the active area around you in which NPC's on all sides will interact? I'd like to have more strategic play going on but it seems like not much goes on outside of the immediate area

Such a thing would be cool but I'm sure this isn't the game for that, doing so will vastly tank your performance no matter how hefty your battlestation of a pc is. Extending it two to four times as far should be fine for your computer but won't end up in any type of cool, strategic play.

if ou edit the cvar KLiveRadius you can set it to whatever you want, and experiment to see how much your PC can handle, the default is 5500 I think ,which is almost 1 game sector (6000).

If you go up to 10000 the whole game gets a lot more interesting. With the new beta updates performance is better, so maybe 15000 might be possible on some high end systems. The game is very CPU intensive so a high end CPU and DRAM would enable better performance, such as an I7-8700K with overclocked DDR4.

I've found that when playing with big live radiuses, as long as lag isn't to bad, the game feels very much alive!
