Is it okay to pick up the Greeklings and Roman Stuff mods and update them myself?
So, I've noticed that the Greeklings and populus Romus (Some roman stuff) have been abandoned, or are at least on an indefinite hiatus. I would like to contact the authors of both for permission to try and update both, and perhaps even combine them into a single mod (though still separate kingdoms) to create an ancient Mediterranean mod.

That said, both authors have their profiles set to private, meaning I can't PM them, and neither have responded to comments on their workshop pages for a great deal of time. With this in mind, if I can't get in contact with them after making every reasonable effort to do so, is it acceptable to go ahead and upload my update anyways?

Naturally, if at any point I'm contacted by them, I would of course stop and take it down.

if i am correct the authors have confirmed people can pick up their mod, of course i'd advise giving them some credit for the mods as well but i think i read that they are allowing people to continue working on them.
