No custom maps yet?
Is there a problem with building a map for this game? The last total war game I got was Shogun 2 so I don't know how the other ones are when it comes to battles but it seems really different to shogun 2 so I'm wondering if that is the issue. I'm hoping for some good custom maps later on but shocked that there isnt even one on workshop yet.

The tools aren't released yet. They appear under tools on steam but just give you a .txt file saying 'not much to see here'. I'm guessing the tools will fully release alongside the first DLC in the next month or so

Tools are released now btw but most of them aren't working for me, just keep crashing. I've had a friend say it's working for them though so who knows

Just an update, they took the tools down the same day they released them so I ended up leaving a message over at the official forums and the game director replied saying more people were having issues with the tools than expected so they are working through the bugs. Hopefully they will be released again soon and we'll see some new maps/scenarios
