any one figure out the workshop upload?
I'm a bit new to workshop setup, i was trying to create a character to upload (set to private right now) and I'm not sure how to test locally to see if i am assembling my project correctly to be usable in the program, majority of the help docs are not in English and the one that was, I had a hard time reading it due to the way it was laid out

i was attempting to upload an OBJ and a FBX (in different projects not in the same one) with an XML (that i had generated by the program i crated the model in) and im not sure if thats even the right way to go about it,

the example xml looks way different from what i had generated.

if any one could post a guide or let me know that im just going about it all the wrong way would be super.

as an update, i managed to get the readme into a more... readable display, and was able to see that they only accept a file type "u3dwin"
i was able to figure out how to make it a u3d, but i dont know about the u3dwin without just changing the file exe, any how that aside, i used the sample XML and rewrote it according to the readme's specs of how to set up, but i just read something about it needing MS office Excel or you lose the mapping format (that i guess it needs?) eather way, I'm still at the same point where i cant see the model or get it to display in any of the role lists, and wondering if im even close to doing this right, atleast i havent spent much time on this model yet with just a minimum test model.

I'm at a dead end, the help documents really dont explain anything in reguards to exporting other then showing that you need to use a "tool" in unity version 5.6.3 that you get from a plugin they provided, but the option for tools is not in that version of unity and try as i might i cant get the package to show up as anything other then an editor script in unity.

i know im not pro with the unity program but all the help docs ive been reading on how to use packages and such just run me in circles.

tell a real translation or some one can just provide a way to crate this mystical u3dwin format im giving up, wasted another night on trying to figure this out, hell i managed to get a u3d file, i just dont understand why this cant use an fbx or obj or any other existing file format (a id even settle for a damn glb file) instead of needing to jump though so many hoops with old versions of programs, heck most of the info for this i had to snag from google translate because again, no english help docs on the workshop workflow.

Stuck on the similar thing, but with 3d scene. Same question: why it's not an OBJ or FBX, like in CoMiPo? :steamsad:

please yes! if i can upload my own models in this software with the right rigging it would be a dream come true and i can finally manga a book i wrote. seems this is the software i have been dreaming of for years!!!!

if any one is interested i did manage to create a u3dwin file (the model it self was not properly set up, but now that i know how to ill go back and rig it right some time this weekend)

i was using unity version 2018.3.11f1 and imported the plugin package that is in the
steamapps\common\KumaKuma Manga Editor\WorkshopTool\KumaKumaWorkshopTool_Data\StreamingAssets\modset\Plug

called: CExportBundle.unitypackage

after you get that set up and your model all rigged and properly configured, youll need to use the tools tab (this was a bit hard to get to display, but you may need to save your project then reboot unity)

with the model selected open the tools drop down and use assetBunldes then the Create PC AssetBunldes Main 64
this will prompt you to select a location to save it to.

after that it will create all the u3dwin file and some other files with it

once your at that point refer to the document they have in the
Steam\steamapps\common\KumaKuma Manga Editor\WorkshopTool\KumaKumaWorkshopTool_Data\StreamingAssets\xmlset

folder for the xml set up

i was having some issues with the auto rigging on my model so i need to clean some stuff up and set it up properly before i can try again to see if i can get it to display correctly, but i can at least see it attempt to pull in a model in the program now.

if any one has success or find this to work when properly configured let me know

you'll probably need to use blender, 3dmax, or maya to build the model (can also search steam for other 3d design software), then set up unity to use u3dwin like i said above, import the item into unity, export it into ud3win, and set up the xml using one of the examples they have in the folder i listed above. blender is free if your not looking to spend money. at the very least if your doing an object the process will be much easier, with a character (or role as they call them) requires a lot of prep before you can use the export properly

I found out the hard way the only way to get it to work properly into KumaKuma Manga Editor is Unity 5.6.3 (only) the newer unity doesn't output the file correctly as the plugin doesn't work right, problem solved, thanks to google translate. Doc stated you have to use 5.6.3 to get the assets to import correctly. @Rezel yes I tried it with 2018.3.11f1 it does indeed export a file, but isn't exported right. I should make a Starter guide for importing assets into KumaKuma. I get one started but I can't do it all right now it's pretty late in the morning here so I'll do it later today when I get the time to sit down and do it, I don't wish for others going through this process.

I figured that's what it meant when it mentioned the Unity Version. VR Chat required an earlier version of it as well. I don't know if this is still true. Thanks for confirming though, I didn't have the time play with it while it was on my mind.

I have got a 3D scene imported right, how ever I'm still having trouble with 3D props, I'm scratching my head on this one, I used the Mobile phone example and it worked but when I tried to do the same with my own files/ objects from chanjing it doesn't get added to the scene, at least it's not crashing.

now my question would be is 5.6.3 different form 5.6.3f1? because i cant get the export tool to work in that version and thats why i moved to the newer version, that recognized the tool

any time i try to run the export tool with 5.6.3f1 it gives me errors and wont export anything

When I said 5.6.3, that is 5.6.3f1, I believe it's the only one on the unity archive. Like I said I got a 3D scene working :compa: but 3D props is making me :steamsalty:,:rockettebored:

i think im just gonig to uninstall all things unity on my computer and nuke all my folders i was using, try starting fresh to see if i can get it to work properly this weekend if i get the time

you are so great,can you teach me how to import,and give a tutorial,video is better. I figure out the u3dwin file and follow the guide to write a xml Excel,but when I upload , it only appear in workshop, I sunscribe it but it doesn't appear in the scene. i feel anxious. what's more when i asked the developer and others, they did not answer the question and refuse to help me!
