I really want to get back into this game but one thing puts me off like crazy. The catapults. I wouldn’t mind them in sieges even though they don’t really suit the setting but having them in battles just kills the game for me. So I’m suggesting that someone that is familiar with modding TW games make a simple mod that removes them from the rosters or somehow stops the AI from recruiting them. If one of you talented modders has the time I would really love to see such a mod :)

In my opinion the vanilla game design (for every TW except Empire, Napoleon and Fall of the Samurai) should have made catapults only deployable in sieges. Either as siege equipment you build over turns or as units that are part of your army but excluded from field battles.

Another mod idea for TOB to better suit the setting would be to remove the option of siege towers and only have ladders during sieges.
