Attempt to Access Invalid units?
I have this error every time when I want to start my 1 year old campaign... It worked just fine before the latest update... Any idea what could cause this?

I think you have to have all 3 DLCs.

I have all dlc, and all of them are installed as well.

In that case, the program is probably using non-DLC dataset. There are two dataset files: empires2_x1 and empires2_x2 were their names IIRC

Try going to Singleplayer lobby where you can choose which dataset to use on one of the dropdown selections. Choose the DLC dataset. Then start a game. Other settings dont matter. This is just to load the dataset. Then start your campaign.

Nope. Still not working. And I can't even open the scenario in the editor anymore...
♥♥♥♥ this broken abandoned ♥♥♥♥ game and all those usless pathetic fools who created this mess. Broken campaigns, broken editor...

Yes. Like I said it worked fine for years. I published it in 2017... And now its suddenly broken... Can't play it, can't edit it, nothing.
