More challenges like people would have faced: disease hits your animals and you just kill them. There's no contagion.
Some sort of leadership system where your head knocker influences in a negative or positive way what's going on with your tribe.
More natural disasters to overcome. Locusts, flooding, tornadoes. The occasional storm just is a bit underwhelming .
By the bronze age currency was certainly being used. The traders are fairly feeble. It would be nice to either have a greater variety of goods or be able to order up specific things for the next time he stops by.
some more suggestions:
- paths: it would be awesome, when the ground "reacts" on the villagers and paths show up in the grass - and villagers prefer to walk on this paths, when established
- fire place: grill meat. Bread is harder to craft than just throw some meat on fire. should be possible
- caves: would be awesome to discover caves as living areas or depots. e.g. in a cooler cave as depot food will last longer
- simple boats made of one Tree for fishing
- building on stilts in flat water making it harder for raiders
- raiders against walls: i don't like the idea, that raiders with knives can destroy wodden or stone walls. When they are wooden, they could use fire that spread out to every attached wodden building when not estinguished. stone walls may break but then a percentage of the stones should be reuseable
- wild bees for honey

this game has so much potential to be a long term fun. i would prefer some more historical accuracy (not in time but in workflows and structures)
