Better City Walls/Gates?
After playing a few houndreds of hours in both aow 3 and aow4(planetfall), the one thing i miss most in planetfall are the defensive city battles from aow 3, since there are no gates and the walls can be breached with a simple granad or rocket. So if someone who knows how to mod could make one with city gates, where the gates and the walls are much harder to breach then before ( for example give the walls HP like in aow 3 and/or make the gates and wall only breachable by Tier 3 and 4 units and/or give the defending units better defensive buffs behind the walls), that would be really great. Additionally the strength of the walls/gates could improve upon upgrading the colony defense building.

Aside from gates most of what you are decribing appears to be possible in the modding kit. Walls probberbly allready got a HP and its just hidden, if not adding more HP would involve adding more damage stages.

Though I i'm not so sure anyone will go trugh the pains of makeing such a mod. The modding kit is hard to navigate even when you know what you want to do.

it really is. I made one simple mod (just tweaking the Syndicate so that a couple more units are indentured and you can use the collars on any non-mindless infantry) but it was such a nightmare finding all the right things through the clunky interface, I honestly wished I could just mess with the raw code in notepad++ or something. Would have been faster.

I mean you are just using the same Dev Tools as the team just with a light layer on top of it too block some functions. So outside of the actual engine code I don't think there is much you'd even be able to do code wise.
