Poly-count
What would be considered an acceptable poly count. The hat I made and uploaded is around 200 polys but I made a second model that has about 9k polys a responce would be greatly appreciated

Everything is documented in main beginner's guide within Workshop section.
450 vertices is the limit if you count in the painted vertices.

Are vertices the same as poly's that's what confused me about the guide

Vertex is a point that connects edges and makes a face. Polygon are solid faces.
