Unlike most balance posts, this post is not mentioning hypothetical changes. Instead, Pershing, Incandescent, Core, and myself (occasionally known as Team NA) have taken it upon ourselves to implement changes to the weapons.

Our theory behind the changes was to make every weapon meta, maximizing the amount of builds one could take into a Cata QP game with any given character.

We are posting this because we wish to get everyone’s legitimate feedback and then take our findings to Fatshark after some tweaks. We suspect that, if the community gets behind the idea, we can show a legitimate desire for balance among the weapons. We also hope to provide a rough starting point for a future balance beta.

I know that you will have to forego official progress to use this mod. Your time in feedback will be heard and responded to. Players of all skill level are encouraged to take this mod for a ride.

Patch notes will be posted soon.

Note that changes which affect armory numbers will be reflected in armory.

Changes for what? Rebalance for what? More op or nerf and why? Are you re-balance based on your feelings? Cuz game-testers doesn't mean it's relevant to the game. For example, you don't have data and stats of enemies aka chaos/skaven/beastmen or elites/specials and how those changes would affect their behaviors, based on concrete datas and tests. And then how about difficulties affects?

And the most important question: do we really need changes in official realm? Cuz if you make changes now, highly possible that it will change again in the future when more dlc comes out. And that's a complete waste of time.

Please read the post carefully. We will be posting patch notes to explain the changes made. Also, we definitely do have the data and stats of enemies. I have no clue why you’d assume otherwise. We also have ways to calculate dps and BPs vs. various enemies which is what we used to gauge a lot of the changes. And yes, official needs some balance work. Thanks for the feedback.

Why do you assume every cata pug squad should be able roll through cata with any weapon?This is what balance means?

You should read carefully. I didn’t give any feedback or such, just questioning the reliable reasons.
Also, caculating is not equal testing/simulation which requires more complicated numbers e.g bullets projectiles/wind spd etc which I doubt you would have access to.
Why officials need rebalance work? Based on what? Sources?

Every weapon yes, but not every squad no... pretty sure thats what he said in the OP, nothing was mentioned about everybody being able to "roll through it", just to make sure that everyone who is good enough can to it with all weapons, thats what balance is

I can do a cata run right now with decent people with "bad" weapons and have zero issues.
Wind speed? What are you on about? Bullets? Complicated numbers? What?
You have access to almost all the data you need between calculators and the modded realm.

Isn't it obvious some weapons need balancing? When was the last time you saw someone running Falchion in Cata QP? What about 2h Mace for Sienna? 1H axe on anything thats not Slayer.
Is is focused for Cata content. You can play anything for Legend and below.

They're trying to get people to play it to collect data so they can tweak it. Pass the info along to FS. FS knows these guys.

For now this is just staying on modded realm. Call it an experiment.

Just look at the notes Pershing has already posted. Most of these changes make sense. Can't wait to try this out.

So? With 2.4K hrs I'd assume you were mentally impaired if you couldn't...

I'm glad you've suggested there are "bad" weapons though, in that some are clearly not as good as others... although with that being said I'm left wondering what your issue is with what the OP is trying to do...

These changes look great. Is there a list of the terminology used for some of the weapons(linesman, finesse, etc)?
Linesman and tank are mass modifiers and finesse is HS and crit modifier. If I remember correctly bestiary and armory give you more some more info but I have not had them installed for awhile.

Thanks! I had to uninstall the armory mod because the overlay menu would block the top of the weapon list every time I opened my inventory.

Simple example about wind spd: when you shoot an arrow from a far distance aim for an hs, you have to aim it higher. And I’m pretty sure they don’t have that kind of data about the angles and arrow spd or environmental resistance.
Another example is Arrow Bounce talent of Waystalker, there is no way you can test where the arrow would hit after bounce without specific simulation.
And they didn’t mention about Cata difficulty specifically.
Also I saw lots of Falchion, 1H axe RV running around, including Mace Sienna. Not sure what’re you talking about?
I also don’t give a damn who these guys are. They clearly have no idea what they are doing cuz they can’t answer simple questions. If they want players test, how can they collect data? Reports? Or just based on feelings?
And post it in General Discussions for community attention is a bad move lol. That’s not how you want to be popular.
