The link to workshop in the my message is my all items.
I'm sorry. Please enjoy the game on my behalf.
No doubt it can be disheartening to see a tech you've spent hours perfecting effectively slapped into the trash. Though I think the best way to combat this is to just keep playing and posting as you see fit. At this point I'm taking those downvotes as upvotes in my mind since the person or group doing this is obviously feels threatened enough to take the time downvoting.
Maybe it's time Steam changed the workshop a bit? Remove the downvote, but also don't allow the upvote, subscribe, and favorite from the creator to affect the item popularity algorithm?
And yes, I know this thread is a couple months old but I feel it still needs to be talked about.
I see. I had a similar situation.
Your report may be interesting to many contributors.
In the case of my tech, there was only 1 downvote in the past, and even when the number of subscribes increased during the summer sale period, the number of votes did not increase so much, and fortunately there was no downvote.
However, as soon as I was introduced to "Tech of the Week," I received 4 downvotes in one day. I got 4 of them too, so it doesn't seem like a coincidence.
I don't know much about Steam's popular algorithms,
In a common rating system, the weight of votes varies depending on the degree of contribution,
Furthermore, in the usual case, a user who casts an extremely large number of negative votes will receive some kind of penalty for the account, or the reliability of the votes will be reduced. What about Steam?
I thought it was a peaceful and wholesome place, but I was disappointed because the so-called "dislike mobs" were left unchecked.
I think there are several possible improvements, and I hope that the immature rating system will improve.
Well, I can't go on long, and I don't think I'll be posting anything new at least about this game because posting isn't the goal.
Down with downvotes!
You should not care about dislikes but only about likes as that means you made somebody really happy.
