Why are there three categories for mods? "Mod", "Mods", and "Kcmod"?
I don't know about Kcmod but isn't a "mod" and "mods" the same thing, but now I have to switch my checkboxes to seek mods without showing banners?

Seems odd.

it is, originally kcmod was the only tag and is given by default to every single mod, 'mod' and 'mods' were added later on, so not all mods are tagged with them.
