Character Joystick
I had this idea looking at the first version of the amazing Snake Game adventure by Hobukastan.

These are three different Character Joysticks which you can use to drive other machines by moving your character.

One 4 directions one, pretty easy to control and to wire up to other machinery, two more versions using 8 directions + neutral, with one of these having a larger pad for easier control.
