A simple addition would be flathead engines, they were at least used until 1960 in America and later 60s in other countries. Would be a good option in fleet and budget vehicles and make the game realistic at a 1940 starting point. Just an idea I thought I'd pitch, only other thing that should be noted is 4bbl carbs were almost standard in cars starting 1955 in America.
