ship spawn
how do i do the ship spawn in game i know how to spawn my own ships but not the ones ive downloaded

you have to use the beta branch
-right click avorion
-select Properties
-select betas
-in the drop-down menu, select branch beta

okay good. but how does one ACTUALLY spawn the ships?

There isn't an option for 'branch beta' in the drop-down menu.

I just figured it out actually. Found a ship and name it, click the "saved ships" button at the bottom, your downloaded ships should be there as well as others

^ Great explanation. Do note this:

If you mean downloaded ship as in NOT from steam, then you will most likely have to search for it in your downloads. Once you have found it, press the start key on your keyboard and type in %appdata%. Once you're there, you will want to click on 'Roaming\Avorion\ships\'. Then, just copy or drag the ship .xml file into the ships folder. Finally, start the game, enter your world, and look in the saved ships icon for the ship and apply it to your current ship.

If you are NOT using WINDOWS, then I can't help you.
