How do I use a mod in Editor mode?

Context:
I was trying to make a scenario of Operation Fall Gelb for the WWII mod.
However, I cannot find a way to use the mod's units, buildings, etc, in the Editor.
Is there a way I can do this?

I never did such a thing, but i know steam made some stuff slightly harder to find out.
I know where the graphical models of the games are in the installation folder and there are files pointing to them. But I sincerly hope that someone who actually mods will take the time to give you a "real" answer. If you dont get a proper answer soonish, feel free to add me on steam and i will try to help you out where i can when both online.
