I was kinda scared because even restarting steam and trying to stop the download didn't help. but if it;s safe then thanks

Those customs servers have their own set of mods. So in order for you to join that server, you have to download their mods. Which is downloaded automatically. However, Im not sure how long they stay in your subscribed list because in Gmod, those mods downloaded through a server will automatically clear out after a while

Yes other's won't tell you so i will. Let's say the server is making you download a sound mod. That will stay in your files even if you leave before download is completed.

If you notice "o wait why are people screaming 'I'm legally blind' when they get flash banged?" Then you need to delete your "Sounds" folder and Verify Cache
