Yes, but there is alot of stuff that needs to be reconfigured for atlas and a few minor issues. I Have 7 animals already I have been working on. Thyla, Sabertooth, Otter, Beaver, Kangaroo, Frog and Purlovia.

The devs have stated they don't mind if players port over most of the ARK stuff into ATLAS and in reverse. The only restriction they really placed was for the ARK maps to not be modded into ATLAS, meaning no (Ark) The Island for example in ATLAS. Otherwise everything that isn't a map is fair game to port into ATLAS.

Why not then just play ARK if you want Dinos? :/

Why not just play ARK if we want dinos?
Does someone on a private server wanting a mod that adds their favorite dinos to Atlas somehow impact YOUR game in a negative fashion?
If someone wants to create a mod adding all the muppets from Sesame Street, does it ruin YOUR game?
I am continually confounded by the idea that mods some people don't like or want commit a crime against the overall game and it's community.
Quite the opposite, creating content harms nobody but enriches the entire gaming community for a given game.
Nobody has the right to sit in judgement over what content others would like to see added in a game via the workshop.
It is there to express creativity and enhance the game for anyone interested.

As to the original question of this topic... Yes, the creature assets of ARK can indeed be modded into Atlas quite handily.
I was at one point associated with a mod author that was doing just that, and while there were some compatibility issues to be ironed out, it was going along quite splendidly until the mod author lost interest in the project and the game.
Part of that reason was almost certainly because private messages were being sent to the author making very unkind comments about the idea of modding ARK dinos into Atlas. Some extremely vindictive and threatening messages from individuals that felt such a mod somehow threatened THEIR gameplay in some fashion.
Pretty ignorant and selfish behavior, if you ask me.
But what do I know, right?
Merely that it was MY generation that invented video games and the internet that you all enjoy so much.
And some of the petty and selfish behavior I see within the community really makes me want to reach through the internet on occasion and smack some of your parents.

Enjoy, and don't be so offended when people enjoy things you may not.

dude, take a chill pill..

I am just wondering why people would want to import dinos to this game while ARK already has it.

YOUR generation? mate I was playign games too when they were just 6 dots boxing each other ( very very old boxing game) , I have had all consoles etc etc, lets not get into the competition of who`s generation was first with gaming.

You are telling me to not get offended but yet here you are with a wall of text telling me in a salty way why people should be able to add this kind of stuff to the game, makes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of sense, I guess its the way of how this ARK/ATLAS community thinks... because when I asked in the discord section to make some creatures smaller, I got attacked from all sides and that I should stop playing the game if I don`t want big creatures. You are yet anotehr fanboy of ARK/ATLAS I am guessing

So chill down, don`t be afraid, my words won`t change anything about the game or what people will add to it.

I like the dinos in ARK and i like the sailing and shipmaking in ATLAS and want to have both in the same game. And i assume it would be way easier to add dinos to ATLAS then sailing and shipmaking to ARK (and the raft thing in ARK doesnt count lol)

Same. I love ARK's dinos but I also want to sailing in ATLAS. These games are both time consuming and are buggy hells. So having a mix doesn't hurt.
