You didn't miss anything,it is just that the modding community is not very active.
Either because it might be difficult to add new models in game,which actually I never saw or the lack of interest by the modders of this game.

No worries,I don't want to make pubblicity to other games in this forum here,but if you check my tag,I'm developing a chapter mod "Imperial Fists" for another product.
And to stay in topic,let's hope that in the future this fine game will have the same love and attention as AoW3.
