basically, I just want to know if there's any tips for creating mods for this game specifically.
I don't really care about getting too cheaty right now*, but for the moment I just want to do stuff like create tiny mantles for placing on aircraft wing guns, custom blocks for making better looking vehicles etc.
I have a feeling that if I wait for someone else to make them, I'm gonna be waiting a while.
I have Blender, Crowbar, Notepad++ and VTF Editor because I have been trying to learn how to make gun models for SFM (which is proving to be a trial-and-error experience) but I also want to utilize the tools I already know well (at least as far as blender is concerned) to do this.
