This isn't something we can answer here. Planet Zoo doesn't support mods. You would have to talk to whomever gave you the mod. This is why we don't suggest that people use mods. You never know what the performance may be like afterwards.

i got it from nexus is which is a trusted site but it seems there's been no activity on this game or on it's issues for a while, which seems disappointing. all it is is a texture mod so it shouldn't be breaking my game like this. just wish there was more fur color variation for the wolves.

Unfortunately I had some mods from nexus I simply had to toss out. The animal foliage mod, and a mod that made some animals bigger. I think I'm gonna skip on mods until the game is no longer receiving regular updates- and I LOVE that the game keeps getting updates, but yeah, they are gonna break the mods almost every time. I'd say expect to update and reinstall mods with every single update, and cross your fingers the mod creators are in the mood to update their work every time.
