Disabling Gen-sys events and labs

Is this possible when designing a scenario with the Ape plague?

Thought the exact same thing, but with the Vampire scenario.
I've turned everything off but i still get those annoying events that immediately starts hunts for the vampire and established the templars...
I really don't want to remake what i've already spent way too many hours on, with the necroa virus instead.
Hope someone has a solution, or atleast an answer.
