Mod to disable blockading in campaign?
I had to stop playing this game because of how frusturating and game breaking the blockading mechanic is for me. I really like the design and building aspects, but I find doing that without a reason to be very boring, hence why I play campaign, but blockading ruined the campaign for me as I constantly lose vehicles if I don't spend every ounce of attention microing every vehicle to stop them from getting blockaded and being automatically destroyed.

I started reading modding tutorials to figure out if I could change the campaign mechanics, but it doesn't seem like this would be possible from what I have read. Just wondering if anyone with a better understanding of modding could confirm/deny this, or if it exists already (I have searched and only found other complaints no mods) let me know, thanks.

Sounds like you're missing the point of the campaign. Blockades will happen, it's a core element to the gameplay. Without blockades all vehicles could travel anywhere, anyhow.

I'm not sure if you're complaining about your vehicles dying in fair and balanced battles, or dying to poor planning. Moving one by one is not how you win a war, you create fleets and squadrons.

Now if you still have problems fighting balanced battles, try to lay back a bit and gather up stronger resources or perhaps fight other factions.

However, the OP is right. Blockading is a stupid mechanic for a bad implementation of an RTS. FtD's physics and collision mechanics are ill-suited to being an RTS anyway. FtD is a great physics and building game that would function far better as an exploration and adventure game.

Don't get me wrong. I love FtD, just not the campaign and adventure modes.
