I love this game and would like to play it again with my friends, but one of my friends doesn't like having to buy skillbooks and prefers a more tabletop-like experience where you pick from a list of spells/skills for your character to learn upon meeting certain level requirements.

Of course, the band-aid fix to this would be to cheat, getting all the skillbooks at the beginning and setting up your own skill list of sorts, but that comes with it's own set of problems. You could also play BG3 but that isn't a complete game and I'm not exactly in the mood to beta test atm.

Any mods out there that can scratch that itch? Thank you in advance.
