Hours of Operation
First, I am going to say I am new to this game so if this sorta of exists, I apologize for asking. I started to create a park and I am enjoying myself. The only thing I would like to see in these simulator games is as much realism as possible. So, I think it would be great if we had Hours of Operation. No theme park runs all day and all night. I love the fact that the clock in the game follows real time. I think it would also be nice to have a CLOSING time so that I could take my time with adding rides, cleaning my park and decorating it. It become tough when you are trying to do this when you have guests in the park. Also, during the closed time, the game shouldn't be taking money from you unless you are adding rides or other objects. I just think it would be great to have that night realism. Also, be nice if the ride operators went home and so did the staff at some point. It might sound crazy but I think this would be an awesome feature.

I think this would be an interesting concept as well, but I'm not sure it would work very well.

If you try manually opening and closing your park to simulate real operation, you will likely encounter money issues. The amount of time to build up your attendance to a profitable level again would be reversed when you have to close the park again. Operating costs will continue while the park is closed, but the income coming in will be so disrupted that it will be counter intuitive.

I think the primary challenges that prevent this idea from working is that the game time isn't real time. Imagine it taking 3 actual years to complete a true campaign scenario! Money is also different. We might be able to get our peeps to pay $5 for a hot dog, but construction costs are vastly cheaper than in real life. A coaster in the real world could take millions to build while in Parkitect, an expensive coaster costing $35,000 would be a steal!

That would only be possible without any time relation. Because actually one year ingame is 1 hour and one month is 5min, So if you close the park, that you can always do manually, it takes about 1 month till all peeps left the park. So for Winter/Summer Closing you can do it manually. Btw. this is also a way on a campaign scenario to win. The AUTO day/night function, sets night for one month after 2 month.
