How to make a flat terrain in Serious Editor?
I feel like this is a simple question, but I don't know a proper answer.

Basically I want to(or at least try to) create a city level, and for that I wanna have a completely flat terrain, so objects on the map, like buidlings, would properly stand on the ground and not being submerged into it or hover over it.

Problem is I don't know how to do it properly. Elevation scultping is not very convenient and it doesn't flat out everything, and setting elevation with respective tool kinda works, except not really, as I have to adjust multiple variable positions and there are still some uneven ground. I also tried making patches and then lifting them up, and it did create flat ground, however it's not perfect since patches on that ground have really ugly side walls when I lift up their nodes.

I looked at campaign city levels but couldn't find clues to creating completely flat terrain. So, does someone know how to create one? I feel like there is a simple answer, but I can't figure it out :steamfacepalm: Thanks in advance :lunar2019smilingpig:

I'm not exactly sure what the correct method is, but the one I've found to work for me is

1. Create terrain (choose Flat Terrain instead of Heightmap File in the terrain creation window)
2. Go back to World Editor and select your (<unnamed> by default) Terrain entity
3. Set all the Elevation params stuff to 0 (or the lowest number possible)
4. Go to Plant Params, click on each of the plant param .rsc there (RomanForumPlants.rsc for example) and then click Reload in the dropdown to make them not float in the air
5. VERY IMPORTANT
Resave the terrain's Biome config file (WesternEurope.rsc for example) UNDER ANOTHER NAME, preferably in your own custom level's folder so that it will not overwrite the base game's.

If all goes well, you should have an almost completely flat terrain[cdn.discordapp.com] to work with.

I just tried it out and it looks fantastic. Exactly like what I was looking for. Thanks a lot! :lunar2019grinningpig:
