Can Workshop items work on planet coaster origin?

I have planet coaster on origin, and I am wondering if workshop items & or steam mods will work with the non-steam game. If so, in what what folders and where to place those files or blueprints. Does planet coaster have to be bought on steam for any workshop download content to work?

I don't have Planet Coaster on Origin,but do have Cities Skylines(another Steam game). Origin doesn't allow workshop or steam mods or any mods for that matter for Cities Skylines. So it maybe the case for your game too. It is a code they have put in. And I have yet to find any work arounds that work.
Hope it is a better case for your game.
