My game keeps on using a Mod even though I've disabled

I was using this mod a few hours ago that I got through the Steam Workshop it was fine, but when I came back to play the game a few minutes ago. I disabled the mod and started up a new game and it was still using the same images and texts from the mod that I had been using.

I've tried re-enabling the mod and disabling it again. Then I tried unsubscribing to the mod and then subscribing back to it again, but those two options don't seem to work and I've also tried looking through the files within my file explorer to see if I could rectify the problem but I couldn't seem to find anything remotely about mods.

So if anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it!

you could manually go to where steam workshop mods are installed for the game and see if the file is there and then delete it assuming that it is. have you tried that?

also-- are you testing whether the mod keeps being used on a new playthrough, or did you disable it midway through a save youre trying to complete? in ANY game, disabling mods partway through a save and then continuing to try to play, can often cause issues
