Game crashes
The game crashes at startup. I uninstalled it and re-installed it with the same result. What do I do?

If you have Avast, try making NWN an exception.

Launch Avast from the taskbar icon (or desktop shortcut).

Menu > Settings > Exceptions > Add Exception > Browse then navigate to

C:\Users\######\Beamdog Library\*

where ###### is your Windows10 username.

This makes the entire Beamdog library exempt from AV checks, which works like a charm for me.

It is possible to make a single file exempt (clearly preferable for security reasons). It's been suggested that "NWN’s new SQL module downloader" might be the culprit, if anyone here can supply the file name.
