burn mechanic
Ok so I've seen a whole lot of different custom debuffs and buffs, (like the umibozu being immune to attacks from heroes not on deaths door).
How come no one has made a proper burn mechanic? It could be treated with holy water, stone and metalwork enemies would be immune, could be less effective in the cove due to the moisture.
I know the Ironman class has something like this but it's still too different from bleed and blight.

Valid question. I know the Arsonist and Salamander would be better mod classes if they incorporated a new 'immolation' DoT. And it would need to be a new DoT element, as being on fire is not the same as being poisoned/inected nor leaking a lot of vital fluids.

Heck, could even come with a downside, such as +Damage%. It's less fun being grabbed by a zombie if it's also On Fire.

After thinking about it, I guess the biggest obstacle is figuring out how to calculate an enemies resistance to it. The easy solution could be just using the enemies debuff resist, but a lot of enemies who seem flammable might have a lot of debuff resist, and vice-versa.
