ultimately the goal of having these missions set to a high number is to make use of the day progression while that comes when completing each mission.
not sure if abandoning the contract forfeits gains from missions. i have not failed a contract either so mechanically i dont know how that works in the grand scheme of things.
its starting to get predictable without the feel of attrition that the home team gets.
over all the amount of missions substituted for the system travel repair time more impact full rather than just an after thought for completing a raid and going to the next system for a fresh go.
