What's wrong with people?

Why in #%@^ do so many people add tags to their uploads that are just...wrong?

Like if you filter by zoo entrance, you get a TON of scenery. Just because you "can" put something at the entrance to the zoo, doesn't make it a zoo entrance.... ffs.

I make my own blueprint copy and unsubscribe to literally 95% of things I get from the workshop right after downloading because of people and their inability to be intelligent about what tags they assign things....it's just stupid.

Edit to add: my reason for posting this is to encourage workshop creators to show more self control, for the sake of having actual subscribers.
I imagine the reason people use incorrect tags is to try to increase the "visiblity" of their items when searching the workshop...but if everyone unsubs because you got the tags wrong, that rather defeats the point.

People can freely label their stuff however they want.
That being said, you have the option not to get any workshop items for them.. sometimes people might misclick as well.. Personally I try my best only to include those that are part of the creation, but I reckon even with that, some might disagre.

There are indeed categories where I can see people having different opinions, especially seeing as some of them are so...unclear...as to what they necessarily are. This i acknowledge.

I actually vented with this post in large part because I feel guilty when I unsub from creations that I absolutely LOVE, but which I had to re-save as my own blueprints just to get tags that make actual sense.
The two biggest offenders, imo, are folks tagging things as "shop shells" that they have placed an actual vendor shop in....so I remove the shop and make it a a real shell. And the aforementioned "scenery" tagged as zoo entrances.
I know it's silly to feel guilty just for 'unsubbing' on something that I still continue to use, but I truly appreciate talented creators and wish that I didn't feel the need to do it. :)

I don´t really see much of an issue with this and I rather support creators. That being said, I can fully accept and respect your opinion on the matter. Some stuff are worse than others ofc.

One trick is to resave a blueprint so you can create your own tags, then unsubscribe the original blueprint.

That's exactly what I do...I just feel guilty because then I'm using someone's work without it giving them the awareness/credit with subscriber count. I do try to go through and "favorite" and "Thumbs up" the ones i use a lot though.

I'm probably just over thinking things though.
