Not my problem, nobody else's problem. If he didn't want to make his mod compatible, why did he bother making it in the first place?
Why did he even bother? Because he wanted to. And at the time, he was able to work on it, and at the time, it worked.
What obligation does he have to continue to indefinitely patch and support a thing he made, on his own time and dime?
Confession, I used to kinda view RT's developers for HBSBT with disdain, because they'd say the same thing about patching and support with a sneer on their mouth (edit: some of them, anyway)... but short and acerbic as their attitudes might be, they're absolutely entitled to it.
Then I grew up, mentally at least, on the subject. Now I'm just like "whatever, they wanna be 'rude' [which in itself is debatable]? Hell, it's their project, I should be grateful they're releasing it for free".
This isn't even the grey area of people complaining about a dev not putting X feature in, "come on I paid for this wow", and I'm defending them half-heartedly with "w-well it's their product, just be grateful that..." You literally are complaining about support for something you paid absolutely zero for.
Fackin' hell.
Aren't you just brimming with intelligence.
"long, rambling sob story" and this is the description:
Won't be updated for DLC
Oh no, you used the dreaded 'e-word'.
You wound me. Truly.
