Community safe 2 coming soon!
Excellent news, everyone!

OVERKILL are in the process of making their final decisions for the contents of the upcoming Community Safe 2!
The deadline for submitting your skins is this Friday, and we already have a bunch of amazing skins we are choosing from.

Not only this, but OVERKILL have altered the function of the new legendary skins. Previously, you were unable to modify them, but not anymore!
From now on, all the legendaries will be modifiable, just like every other skin! no more settling for the mods it gives you!

Updates shall be posted here as soon as i have more for you!

Until then, keep those helmets flying

Man, it would've been cooler to be notified of the deadline a week before. Now there isn't much time left to submit something cool.

Does that you'll be also able to change the stat boosts of the legendaries or only the weapon mods ?

I believe it's mods only. Not the values.

Does the 'From now on, all the legendaries will be modifiable' really mean 'From now on, all the to-be-released legendaries will be modifiable', or will it also retroactively affect the old legendaries? Some of them are really outclassed (Big Kahuna vs Admiral - the former doesn't even have the straight-upgrade 000 Buckshot attached).

Most likely you can add boosts to your legendaries then and change ammo types too :D

I have messaged OVK for confirmation on this.

Sadly, this will only include the future legendary weapons. I don't believe OVK want to begin editing something that people already own / pay money for. But that's just my personal opinion

Doing this to old legends would actually boost the market for the ones that are off meta in their current condition. It could also lead to more drill sales as people might have more incentives to open old safes.

At the very least, I would suggest allowing people to change non-cosmetic mods like boost & ammo types.

Was already afraid that was going to be the case, but I have to disagree on the 'begin editing something that people already own' thing. Nobody has to actually edit anything; it would just be nice if we had the option of replacing the ammo type on some guns. Or perhaps remove a 'legendary' part (Admiral barrel) in case you really want something different. There's already mods that easily do this, but it would be nice to see it becoming official.

Considering how some peoples were mainly interested in stat boosted legendaries because of the fact you couldn't modify them at all. Removing the main selling point of those skins (without giving them something exclusive in exchange) would be basically another abuse to the consumers where their consent was tricked.

But considering the precedents during last winter and last summer, anything is possible.

RIP stat-boosted skins, legendaries were the last bastion
[MM] Cpt_Mustard 26 Oct, 2016 @ 11:57pm
Pls let there be a steakout shotgun skin ;-;
Lammah 31 Oct, 2016 @ 6:28am
did you hear anything about the old legends being moddable?

Also, is there a deadline for when OVK will make their final decision on the Community #2 skins ? :D
