Linux hammer
Hi, I'm on Linux and want to create custom maps. I've found a wiki and it says to go to bin folder and launch hammer.exe. Obviously, there is on EXE on Linux.

Am I Screwed?

Maybe there is a way to bend vanilla Source SDK with a custom .fgd? I can run vanilla via Proton.

Or you can simply enable proton for Insurgency, backup bin/ folder, disable proton, copy bin folder back.

Looks like since Insurgency has native Linux version, I can't download Windows version while on Linux. And I don't have Windows.

Properties -- force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool

Huh, and how to launch hammer under Proton?

SDKLauncher.exe in bin/ folder. Either with system wine or somehow launch with Proton outside of steam.

Ugh, using "non-Steam game" it gives me black window with SDK icons. I guess I'm out of luck.

How?
xdshot 1 29 Jul, 2019 @ 5:15am
$ wine SDKLauncher.exe
Rea 29 Jul, 2019 @ 5:17am
Ah, I don't have Wine :/
xdshot 1 29 Jul, 2019 @ 5:19am
install it

This is a minimalistic LXC container that really has only Steam and nothing else. I will consider Wine in the future but I intend to install it in a separate container to keep things manageable.
