Map-making: increased ground friction for a physics-volume --> camera jittering
I'm very new to the RS2-sdk and UE3 in general. So I've delved into mapmaking in order to create a map that comes with certain zones (in dense vegetation, on steeper slopes, etc.) in which the players' movement speed gets slowed down.

The only way I could figure out so far is to set up physics-volumes and increase their ground-friction drastically. However, this makes the camera jitter a lot (if moving, less so when aiming while walking). It's strange because water-volumes also slow people down but they don't result in camera-jiggering - on the other hand, I don't know what makes players slow down in water-volumes (the friction settings are by far too low).

So does anyone know how to get rid of this jittering or perhaps knows a better alternative to creating zones of slowed-down movement?

Thanks in advance! :)

Try using gravity volume.

Hi North_Dumpling! Thanks for your answer!

As far as I can see, a gravity volume only has one special setting (Gravity Z) which affects only movement on the Z axis. I've tried it out in the flat and it didn't have any effect on movement speed. I might still try it out and see if it affects movement on slopes though.
