Dell Conagher has Transport Fever

How about a seaplane base?

We do have 3 airports, and at least 11 plane models. But, what about an airfield that is on the sea, saving space on land? What d'y'all think? An Otter (DHC-3), Twin Otter (DHC-6) and a Beaver (DHC-2) could do. Both are single engined, save for the Twin Otter, which, as it's name implies, is two engined and have capacities of c. 15-20 in real life. They'd make exellent little aircraft, since they're designed for bush flying. Talking of airports, the little airfield would have a control tower on shore, and have 3 jetties for aircraft.

Sounds like a really nice idea - I can't mod but I'd love to see it work.

You also might be wondering what "bush flying" is. Bush flying is flying in the wilderness, to remote communites that have no road connection. Some have gravel strips, some have to use water.

As a Brit, I'm familiar with the term 'bush' - I watched "Skippy" when I was a lad :D

Sounds interesting but I think putting runways (transparent of course) on water is not possible. Still will give it a try. When I can find the time....

Dirkels, im no modder but
as an idea for a runway on water it could just be a area marked with buoys, then a short taxi to a dock. Woould love to see this be made

Had little look earlier but its not as easy as I thought, the runways give a collision error when they touch water, They are perfectly happy to hang of the side of the world but seem to be scarred of a little water. It might be that an invisible bridge could bring a solution but at the moment time is lacking to try that.
