While waiting for W3 to eventually expand with ME, DLC/FLC, and mods I’ve returned to W2 with the intent of completing at least one ME campaign for each major faction/race.

I just finished my Wood Elf long victory play through and loved the lore-friendly mods for them that gave them new lords, heroes, units, and reskins.

I decided to go with Norsca next but I’m surprised at how very few mods there are for this faction.

I think there’s a grand total of like…8 and half of them aren’t even based in the lore.

These guys are the demonized versions of Norsemen straight from the terrified imaginations of medieval Britons! I’m surprised at how little interest/attention they’ve gotten (less than 1% of players have even completed a Norscan campaign) even with Norse/Viking stuff being as popular as it has been for the last 4 - 6 years.

If you’re a mod maker and you’re looking for relatively untouched ground give Norsca a serious look. There’s a lot of potential here for lore-based reskins, new units based on table top models, and more!
