I installed the powerbox mod from a website called gamebanana and used it before this game was released on steam, when I installed the mod it was a bepinex mod but I think the format has changed since its release on steam and I don't know if the creator of the mod has updated it to be compatible.

The new modding system is NCMS and the powerbox creator has updated it. The mod can be found at https://gamebanana.com/mods/303874

but how do you get it

If You have NCMS you can easily go on the official discord
click on mods and you will find a mod called powerbox
if you have NCMS you can easily download it by going to the website and download but if you dont have NCMS you will have to download it manually
I recommend you watch Gorgs video on how to download NCMS
and also make sure that you are using the right version because a mod could be outdated and you wont get it if you are on a new version of the game
