Spawn Protection in conquest
is there a mod or anything that disables spawn protection in conquest because im tired of invulnerable tanks and infantry spawning in and getting free shots in on my units on small maps just because im trying to make use of the open sight lines to kill them and cant because they have 10 seconds to just walk out shooting into cover

My mod reduced the spawn timer I think to 5 seconds. While it still exists, its much better overall. Its enough to kinda make spawn camping a little bit of a risk, but prevents just what you describe. Ai brings in a tank and gets 2 free shots on your guys before you can damage them.

It was especially annoying when they would bring in GRAD-Ps and light the map on fire before you could kill them.

In case you want to out right remove it and/or make your own mod, the file you need is: resource/set/multiplayer/games/campaign_capture_the_flag

and in there you wanna go to this part:

{scoreFinal 250}
{preparationTime 0} ; seconds
{impregnableTimeout 5} ; seconds
{floraRespawn 0}
{friendlyFire 0}

impregnableTimeout, note the 5 seconds....yeah, set that to like 1 or 0 or w/e and its golden.

In file "/resource/set/multiplayer/games/campaign_capture_the_flag.set" look for:
{impregnableTimeout 10}
where 10 is number of seconds you need to change.

Just realized that this has already been replied above :) Oh well. Now you have double confirmation.

thanks to both of you might try your mod out lord knight but dod you know if its compiatible with the faction mod at all?

Im not sure what my mod is compatible with, I only use my own mod. I see it in with several other bundles of mods, that are listed on my mod page. One would just have to try it out and see I guess. Only thing I changed with factions was adding my own squads to the different factions and also the M1A1 to the US.
