This model has not been precached
I'm trying to add the imperial guard squad to be buildable in SM HQ and it works, the icon is there, I can build them, but all I get are pink boxes with the text "this model has not been precached"
I remember I somehow managed to get them working few years ago, but I don't remember having this problem. So what's wrong? What am I missing?

This was few years ago, so I don't remember exactly, but I think I had to make a new squad by copying the IG squad but give it a different name and then in SM HQ I had to make the new squad buildable instead of the already existing one

No, sadly in new relic games (Company of Heroes 2, Dawn of War 3, Company of Heroes 3...) you can't add any custom models or custom skins.
