15 undiscovered parts on 3rd car
I just picked up the game and am really having fun yet am just fumbling around still... First two jobs were easy, but for some reason the game gave me a terrible job on just my 3rd car. I had no idea what the different jobs were, but just clicked and then accepted. This job has been a freaking nightmare. I had to remove pistons, the head and most of the front end suspension plus many other parts. I ran out of money and had to park it outside until I could earn some changing oil. So, I got it back in and after taking the head off and back on multiple times to fix the camshaft, I have everything together. I still really don't know what I am doing... All "known" parts are fixed and there is nothing else I can see/find that is broken. However, it says there are still FIFTEEN "unknown" parts. That's insane. I can't send it out the door...??? What do i do??

Did you run the car on the test track? The "undiscovered" parts could be rubber bushings and other parts of suspension and brakes. Also look carefully at the removeable parts, searching for rusted/grimed pieces.

Thanks for your help. This is crazy but I spent hours taking the car apart and putting back together. Your right it was a lot of bushings which I now know to check very well. :) So frustrating as a rookie as I ended up assembling and disassembling the engine 5 times. :( It helped once all the parts were "discovered" to toggle them all and make sure they were fixed.

Haven't used the test track yet.. not sure how to

Also, this NOW is very funny (but not at the time) but I kept running out of money as I didn't understand that I was actually using my money when upgrading. Just kept spending and spending until I realized I was broke. Kept doing oil changes until I THOUGHT I had enough and then kept getting cars that needed the 900 brake thing and only had 500. Kept moving cars in and out (while the one above was sitting in spot C). Long story short, I ended up filling all my spots and didn't have enough money to do the jobs I had. Then I realized I could take parts from the other cars. LOL! That saved me and now I'm back in black again... what a fun game!

Hey, thanks for mentioning this... this was a huge thing I was not using. worked like a charm on another car I couldn't find something on.

1. Using test track is easy: if the car engine can be started (it was either in runnung condition, or was fixed by you) select "map" option from the RMB menu, on the map select "test track", then select a car, you want to run on it. Then simply drive the car through the glowing markers on the track.
When you finish the track by going through all markers, you will have suspension parts tested and their condition will be listed in the car specs.
2. You can also use inspection tool (a looking glas with a gear icon in RMB menue, when pointing at a car). By aiming it on various car parts and pressing-and-holding LMB the part/assembly will be "visually inspected" and it's condition listed in the car parts list.
3. If you, for some reason, got yourself an order, you can not, or don't want to complete, you may cancel it. You won't get paid for it, but it will free space in your shop.
4. When doing orders, only fix things, that are asked in the order, do not fix anything else, because you are only paid for what has been asked to repair.

Also when you click on the engine, right click and use the tools to check fuel pressure, tyres thread, electrics etc. also give you xp. I play the game in expert mode so I got to level 66 quickly, also use the testing sections in your workshop. Try repair as many parts as possible rather then buy to save money
