Hello

I wanna mod game's units like change color of troops or change equipment etc. but I don't know how so can anybody help me with some guides how to mod in this game? I have never modded so I'm kinda lost when it comes to modding.
I'm not asking full guides or holding my hand. I wanna just know name of programs what I should use and basic tips to get things running.
