I have a whole podracer collection that ive built over the last week or so, they are all functional but some have a few quirks that take some practice.

New to this game, so this is my first project (but second version already): Grumman F-14 Tomcat replica: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1444308055

Here's something I made trying to teach myself about logic and sensors.

Had fun building a transforming Batman tumbler into pod-bike. Pretty happy with the result

This is... semi -average.
There are some things on this that aren't normal.
A. there is active aero on the wing, the wing will take on a greater angle giving an air brake, this will also active via a simple speed sensor to help limit top speed as to allow you to get a better feel for driving at the speed you like more. This mechanism could be used to create higher downforce if needed by giving it only a slight altered angle of attack, however, rear downforce is not what is needed the most.
B. There is gimbal jets on the underside of the car which act as additional downforce, and, if wanted, can be tuned to give the car different handling properties such as less rear grip and more front grip, or vice versa. The desired function for this system is to balance the weight of the car over the wheels, this allows for more consistent handling.
C. The car uses hog wheels instead of racing wheels. The racing wheels at first seem like an obvious choice, but I found that the racing wheels gave understeer in any combination of wheels, the hog wheels are also more thin and are much lighter (relative to other wheels). This also gives better balance to the wheels as the suspension isn't needing to flex as much to accomodate the size of the wheels.
D. Engines are used, not thrusters. Thrusters are more powerful than engines, that's a given, but there is one problem, thrusters are much bigger and harder to implement, and I see the extra power thusters give as a trade-off, why you might ask? Thrusters don't let you slow down, meaning more mass and space will be used up making the design overall more bulky and worse around corners (excluding the fact that aerodynamics in this game allow stupid amounts of handling, I'm trying to get the briddge between realistic and functional.)
E. This design is really compact. The design is small in size, but everything is made to have as much purpose as possible, very little structure blocks were used.

My plans are to add helicopter engines somehow to balance out body roll along corners, and also active front aero.

I would like to give one disclaimer though
This thing doesn't exactly enjoy bumps the much, it's made for the oval track only, but it's made to handle corners with realism, style, and function all in one.

Other than all that
Have fun and experiment with this design
I also heavily encourage you to use this as a template, you can repost it under your name if you'd like as it's a simple design that I feel would benefit the community.

Made for competitive racing blueprints (highly suggested to check)

Right now there's AeroMantis and AeroJet i made, punched it pretty hard on leaderboard (top 100, aeromantis is 10th on the cliff land while mk2 is both 14th and 17th on valley and race track respectively)

Sharp and Active, the vehicle made for a bridge between our worlds physics and the games physics.
Uses two dragon engines and 4 mini thrusters for drive. The aero has been fine tuned to be slippery but powerful.

The mechanics on this creation include:
Two gimbal jets to simulate downforce from having low air pressure beneath the vehicle.
Two angle sensors attached to a helicopter engine used to minimize body roll in corners, this gives more even grip and weight distribution to each wheel.
Full active aero on the wing. The wing can tilt up in high speeds to give grip for when at high speeds and about to enter a corner, this is also used in braking to act as an air brake which also counteracts the rotational force upon braking. The wing can also tilt sideways to counteract the body roll when turning by giving more downforce to the inner wheel when turning. This active aero can be seen in real life on the Mclaren Senna and Zenvo TSR-S.

My advice is to use it on flat ground due to how low it is, but it is possible to take it off the path due to the wheels being motorcycle wheels instead of racing wheels. Going full send into a corner is indeed possible, although it is risky.
The learning curve for the handling is rather tame, just be sure to stay away from a curb when under hard cornering.

Good Luck, and have fun with the new blade.
