So I went looking around for How-tos and I could only find ones dealing with Rome 2.
I applied the process as best I could for TWW2 - creating a new pack file, importing the specific tables, deleting references to the units from the custom battle permissions and military permissions tables, saving, dumping it in my data folder…but while the submod shows up in the manager and is placed before the related mod - it CTDs.
I saw someone else on a forum say that all you need to do is actually delete their lines from the building units allowed tables so I tried another submod pack file with just that - CTD.
I tried a pack file that contained the tables with deletions of both methods - CTD.
What am I doing wrong?
Am I not deleting the units from the right tables? Do I need to add the entirety of the original mod to my pack file and THEN delete the units from those tables? Are there more tables specific to TWW2 that I need to delete their references from? Do I need to import ALL tables in the mod that reference the units and then delete them?
This seems like it should be such a simple thing to do, just telling the mod “hey, don’t make those units appear”. Why is this so complicated?
