Any way to fix pathfinding?
Heya, I really love this game and after years I keep coming back, but one thing really REALLY puts me off about this game and it's that the devs clearly put no time into balancing the pathfinding algorithms for their AI.

It really frustrates me that there are times when I can tell my bricktrons to go one way, and they'll run off in completely the other direction having found some treacherous path around the map to get where I've told them, and in the process get themselves horribly murdered, and on the other hand it sucks that the enemies are often so dense as to get themselves buried in clifffaces or attacking walls that it makes no sense to do so.

I was wondering whether anyone had perhaps developed a mod to help with this? Or at least a mod that allows tools to give better control, like being able to define no-go areas and such for friendly units.

This game is much more complicated and units can be controlled much more precise - the more you learn mechanics. e.g. if a log rolls down the hill you just learn to disable chop blocks : ) Alternatively, if you open w\ notepad Castle Story\Info\Lua\gameplayTest.lua - you will find the variables that affect path finding. (not sure exact meaning tho).
