Ya would have to find a way to delete all the blood outside the map or even teleport any objects leftover
Also you have to clear the office to fix the script from bugging out
Ie
Doors lifts n triggers will malfunction if you don't clear the office
Ya gotta go to office after clearing it
Pause the game and save it then use exit door to stop the game from crashing at punchout (that happens in the default office if you reinstall the game or simply just bought the game
After ya reset and activated the office
Quit the game and restore a backup trophy save as when you cleared the office but deleted all of the Bob notes lightsabers special objects n stuff so restore backup trophy save only way to get that stuff back
Start the game Go to office
Pause the game and save it again
Now collection is in map
Use exit door to return to main menu
Now clean a map n the punchout machine won't random crash at punchout and it will fix the bug that stops keep it secret keep it safe and clean freak achievements from working
The official office Devs fixed buggy stairs so many times but everyone who bought vcd years ago n has never cleared the office still says it broken as it saved the broken collision on the stairs mesh even after Devs fixed the stairs n there was blood and objects stuck under the stairs stopping clean freak achievement from working n that gun and armour in the Bob zone would fail to count towards another achievement
Doing that reset sequence will fix it
The problem with lots of office maps on workshop just creates a hassle for the creator constantly telling people who can't read map description before they sub how to fix the game after they did it wrong
Unfortunately cider stupidity does get in the way and it's not fun when other users start posting bug reports on the bug reports thread caused by said stupidity when the map description says how to fix it and what not to do so they don't screw it up in the 1st place
The office map is actually quite sensitive everything that needs vanilla office settings is quite tricky to not mess it up
Soo many path targets lol n those gotta be left untouched
Office modding is a can of worms I probably won't make any more office maps cus too many office maps on workshop will just confuse and annoy the crap out of people
It doesn't help that verify game cache in every steam game doesn't work at all if steam cloud sync is on and if person didn't delete the game files 1st as steam skips old and corrupt files
Workshop installer will also fail to install anything outside the mods folder so had to use a backup of default office in mods folder to sideload a new office into the game and it uses an ini file that hides the backup office from the Start work list
Also original office is needed as a backup as the game uses assets from its UDK file in other levels
Ie
Rusty door control panels rust material
If delete default office backup the game will chuck a missing content error or just crash the game
Unsubscribe will also delete backup office and the new office
Start game n it crashes as files missing
Verify game cache to fix that
So I don't think there an easier way to make it painless in a plug n play kinda way
Expansion of the default office does work but down the road it will conflict with other versions of the mod
Lol sub to 2 office mods will really screw it up n the workshop installer will have a catfight with those lol

S#1t happens n I think 2 office mods is already too many
People can make a workshop map and make a different office to go to but it doesn't work with your existing collection n it bugs out really bad look at shadow maintenance it had nothing but everyone complain that it broke the main office saves even though it used it's own saves and had nothing to do with the default office

Gets annoying when people who don't read anything screwed it up n ask how to fix it when the instructions they didn't read are staring em in the face

Nice idea though but it will cause too much hassle if say there's 24 office mods on the workshop which will mean 24 backups of the saves folder for each one to revert back to default office when unsubscribe reinstall or verify game cache as nothing is painless in ue3 it has its limitations..
Wow, ue3 sounds like quite the tangled mess. How about flipping the problem around?
Is it possible to create an indentical copy of the office (oe hell a huge empty box) suited for cleanup mode and somehow load the office data by moving files around into a cleanup session?
You would have this...landfill of a map filled with your stuff. If the map imposible to get fired over, you could then go insane by savescumming to do multiple trips and EVENTUALLY move into your new office.
Sadly at this rate, it might be easier(tm) to just edit the plain text of the save files with some automated means in a completely external tool, "transforming" one save type into another. You should honestly just be able to turn any map you'd like into your office, in fact I think I'm gonna go tell the devs so the ue4 remake might have this functionality.
