this is usually because too many pax pile up at ticketing and security. You have to expand your infrastructure as your pax numbers grow. Also, look for narrow passageways, not enough escalators and the like. Flight displays and loudspeakers are mostly decorative, I´m afraid.

there isnt any ques anywhere which is why its abit strange, maybe its because i have mass empty space between drop offs and ticketing?

Usually, choke point are at ticketing and security. A long distance between security and gates is to avoid if possible.

One other possible problem might be coming from your passenger transport capacity. check if there's enough buses/trains coming to your airport. If not, the passengers will miss their flight not because of chokepoints but because they couldn't arrive at the airport in time

another thing to look at.. are your areas correctly secured.. do you have staff.. are there ANY yellow warning labels anywhere in the airport, on a gate, in a zone or on a ticketing desk or a gate desk.
